This Privacy Policy explains how Perla Italia ("we") collects, uses and protects the personal data of people who visit and buy on perlaitaly.com, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data we collect

• Purchase data: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone, order details.
• Payment data: handled securely by our payment providers; we do not store full card details.
• Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy).
• Marketing data: email and preferences, if you sign up to the newsletter or take part in quizzes or surveys.
• Personalization images and texts: the photos, names and texts you upload in the personalization studio. We use them only to produce the item you ordered and to show you the preview; they are hosted on our services and sent to the print lab that makes that piece.

How we use data

• To process and ship orders, and to handle returns and support.
• To send marketing communications, only with your consent.
• To improve the site and the shopping experience.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

Legal basis

We process data on the basis of performance of the contract (orders), consent (marketing, non-essential cookies), legal obligation (tax) and legitimate interest (security and improvement of the site).

Who we entrust data to

We share data only with the providers the service needs, who process it on our behalf and following our instructions:

• Shopify — the store platform, checkout and payments.
• Printify and Printful — the print-on-demand labs that produce and ship the items: they receive your name, shipping address, the items ordered and, if you personalized the piece, the file with your name, text or photo.
• Cloudinary — hosts the images of the personalization studio, including the photo you upload, from the moment you upload it.
• Render — hosts our small services that prepare the preview and the print file and run the chat assistant.
• Google (Gemini) — generates the chat assistant's answers: the messages you type in the chat are sent to Google to be processed. Don't type anything in the chat you don't want to share, such as payment details or health information.
• Couriers — for delivery.
• Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta — usage statistics and campaign measurement, only if you consent to cookies (see the Cookie Policy).
• Judge.me — collecting and publishing reviews, if you choose to leave one.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some of these providers are based, or have servers, in the United States or other countries outside the EU. In those cases the transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) for providers that are certified under it, or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.

Retention

We keep data for as long as needed for the purposes described and as required by law (e.g. tax records for 10 years). Personalization photos and texts are used to produce the item and to handle any complaints: if you'd like us to delete them sooner, write to us.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to perla.support@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
